REGISTRATION
OF PRESENCE
Registration
of presence for Indonesia citizens living or having domicile
overseas to the Indonesian Mission (Embassy or Consulate) is not
an obligation that brings about a legal penalty. Yet, register
for those who are going to stay for an extended period of
time is a recommendation for the purposes of:

accommodating the request to apply for a
passport renewal especially for those who lose passport
during travel/stay abroad
assisting the Consulate in making a contact with
their families living in Indonesia in emergency situation
constituting a requirement of obtaining an Overseas
Embarkation Tax exempt (fiskal) at the time of leaving
Indonesia for the country of domicile abroad
assisting the Consulate in distributing information in
regard to their political rights to vote during the Indonesian
General Election
To
register to the Consulate, an applicant has to meet the
following requirements :
Copy of Green Card, H1B, I-20 or entry visa to the US
attached in the applicant passport
Fee $ 18.00 Money order pay to the
order INDONESIAN CONSULATE (by mail only)
